Ky-Mani Marley, born in Falmouth Jamaica on 26th February 1976 is one of most popular and successful Reggae Singers. He starred in the cult legendary film Shottas in the role of another vocalist Wyclef Jean. Ky-Mani joined Shang Records and recorded his debut album like Father Like Son. This was followed by numerous singles including Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae charts. Ky-Mani as well as Praswell, of the Fugees formed a band in 1997 and recorded Avenue, a cover version Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley appeared in Midem (international music festival) in the year it was held in Miami at the beginning of its run. He joined Gee Street/V2 Records, where in 1997 he joined forces together with P.M. Dawn who was the lead singer on Gotta be Movin on Up.
